of behaviour of a member of the National Guild of
Professional Consultants (NGPC) in accordance with standards
of ICMCI
A member of NGPC
could be a Professional consultant (juridical or individual
person) providing qualitative professional services in
management consulting - consulting, recommendations, training,
help to a staff, or secondary services that allow
consultant to continuously perfect his/her work.
PRINCIPLE1: PROTECTION OF CLIENT'S INTERESTS Professional consultants providing qualitative consulting
and educational services must defend their clients' interests
in all their affairs.
Application of the principle 1
1.1. Members of NGPC must always treat client information as confidential
and not disclose or allow disclosing any information without preliminary
permission of a client except for bench warrant or prescription
of other competent authorities of the corresponding jurisdiction.
1.2. Members of NGPC must not give publicity to details of
their work with the client except for cases when the character
of such publicity has been coordinated with the client.
1.3. Members of NGPC will refrain from inviting an employee of a client to consider alternative employment without prior discussion with the
client. (Notice in press is not regarded as a job offer to any
particular person).
PRINCIPLE 2: CONTRACT CONCERNING PROVIDING ASSIGNMENTS Professional consultants providing qualitative consulting
and educational services must carefully specify and coordinate
terms of engagement, format of an assignment, methods of work,
desirable results of the work, methods of appreciation of the
performed work, fees, resources available before conclusion of contract.
Application of the principle 2
2.1. Members of NGPC must present to clients clear recommendation
exposing goals, specifying cost of works or rate of fees for
execution of the assignment or conduction of the particular
course of training.
2.2. Before beginning of work members of NGPC must necessarily
coordinate with clients the following:
precise results of the work and methods of estimation
of their achievement
approach and procedures of the work execution
list of main persons in charge invited to work
work schedule
amount, time constraints and the way of payoff and reimbursement of costs
other terms of engagement
procedure of a possible contract modification at the
insistence of the client or member of NGPC
procedure enabling either of the two parties to interrupt
or break off the agreement.
2.3. Members of NGPC must conduct preliminary work to achieve
an even agreement when either of each of the parties
understands all details of the work under discussion. Here one
should include the following:
a member of NGPC receives information from clients
about circumstances that could affect the format and
result of the work;
a client receives enough information about the nature of
the offered service so as to make a well-judged decision;
as for educational courses, a member must certainly inform
clients about the preliminary conditions for participation
in trainings.
